Paradise Found!

I found my cheeseburger!

Well actually I took Jacki's advice and made it myself! Jacki is a fellow blogger and a pretty good recipe wrangler.

I figured that the German Butcher would have either hachefleisch (hamburger; I know I spelled that wrong!) or Steak Tartar (Basically fillet Mignon ground up very fine), and I was right they had both! I decided to go with the tartar. I know that sounds crazy, but I am seriously trying to lose some weight and get in better shape while I'm over here so I opted for the low fat choice. So knowing that it wouldn't have any fat in it I did add a touch of olive oil to it as I patted it out.

Just look at that lovely sight, complete with homemade fries (fried in olive/sunflower seed oil)and even some pork & beans (OK that was the unhealthy part)!

I bought a pound of the meat (well 500g to be exact), so I made 4 patties. I think I'm gonna' freeze the other 3 until this craving hits me again!

Its "Hackfleisch", but i can forgive that. Its, after all, the best try i have seen in a while from somebody who never had to live in my country!!!!AND, its amazing to see what Americans do to get their "Hamburgers" (and we are the ones that called a city after ur favourite food....psssst..gotta think about that for a sec).Always love to read ur blogs and see the pics, Chris´ dad!

Brother J - More like adaptation, but it's part of life! I think I might try to slow down a bit after this assignment! ;-)

Kay - Good to hear from you, I hope everything is going good for you guy's!

MFG - Thanks for the correct spelling, I was hoping someone would help me out. Have we met before?

FC - Yea, I thought about cleaning it up and then decided it looked more realistic that way. Besides I was drooling all over the camera so I didn't have much time to prep the shot! ;-)
